The Freedman Center Trans SOFFA Group is a group for significant other, family, friends, and allies of Transgender and Gender Variant people. Being a family member or supporter of a Transgender or Gender Variant person is difficult. Support is essential in a safe environment as you too are transitioning.This group will meet on the Third Thursday of each month 8:00PM-9:30PM. There is a $20 fee for this group. The Freedman Center Transmens’ Group follows a combination of a therapeutic and support system model.It has been designed as a safe restorative environment, where guys can explore their journey to manhood.This group will be limited to 10 participants.With a small group you and your needs become the focus.Meetings will be monthly.Donna B. The Freedman Center’s Gender Questioning Youth Group follows a combination of a therapeutic and support system model.It has been designed as safe new spaces for youth ages 15 to 21, who find typical gender boxes too restrictive. Support is essential in a safe environment.This group will meet bi-monthly on Saturday afternoons from 2:00PM-3:30PM. There is a $20 fee for this group.

Trans-Affirmations Peer Support Group
FEGS Safe SPACE - Trans-Affirmations Support Group The Trans-Affirmations Support group is a vibrant group of Transgender, MTF, FTM, gender variant folk, their partners and allies who get together twice each month to build community and get the support and information Donna B. Riley, LMSW, a clinician at FEGS Positive SPACE, will facilitate these meetings. There is no charge for this service. Although this is an open, facilitated meeting, pre-registration is required. We are proud to offer this exciting program in our new comfortable Drop-In Center in Copiague.
